Whitney Melton, Parish Administrator

Whitney’s role is to provide administrative support to the clergy, staff, and vestry commissions. She maintains the parish calendar, membership database, oversees front office volunteers, coordinates reports to the diocese, and lot of other things that keep Redeemer running smoothly! She works closely with Building & Grounds to schedule inspections, maintenance, and repairs across the facility.
I was born and raised in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, came down to Virginia to attend the University of Richmond, and never left! I live out in Short Pump with my husband and our 12 year old daughter Claire (already significantly taller than me, as you can see), who is the light of our lives.
Although the majority of my professional background has been in the insurance industry, I spent several years working for the Alzheimer’s Association and have felt a call to return to the nonprofit world ever since. As a fairly new Episcopalian, I am all the more excited to join the staff here at Redeemer!
In my short time here, I can already tell what a warm and loving church I have come to serve. I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of you.
