Meet & Greet | Allison Pace

Hi Redeemer Family!

My name is Allison Pace and I will be serving you all as the Director of Children & Youth Ministries, and will also be serving as the Chaplain to R.E.D.S School.

Although I consider Richmond home, since my dad grew up in Richmond, I was raised in the small town of Ashland, Virginia (just north of Richmond) and grew up competitively riding and showing horses.

I am the youngest of 4 (2 brothers & 1 sister), and I have 7 nieces and nephews.

To say I’m a lover of animals would be an understatement. My heart has been given to my 5-year-old black lab, Shadow. If you think your dog is spoiled, please ask me about Shadow.

In 2018, I began studies at the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA and received my M.A. in Christian Formation in January 2020. In February 2020, I began full-time ministry at St. Mary’s, Arlington as the Family Formation Minister.

My home church is St. James the Less, Episcopal in Ashland (Diocese of Virginia). During my 18+ years there, I was an active participant in Sunday School and Youth Group. I also served as an acolyte, was the Assistant Acolyte Director & assisted with Vacation Bible School.

In 2012, I began my studies at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland where I received my B.A. in Religious Studies and Ethics in 2016. I entered college with the dream of becoming an Equine (horse) Vet. Those dreams quickly changed when a priest mentor of mine died in 2014. Since that time, I have followed the call and my (true) passion to serve children & youth.

After graduation I worked at the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia where I served in the offices of Stewardship, Communications, the Bishop Suffragan and Mission & Outreach. During this time, I also served as the Children’s Ministries Coordinator at Emmanuel Episcopal Church at Brookhill in Richmond.

I enjoy traveling to different places, both near and far and visit the beach every chance I can. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, most of whom live in the Richmond area.

I am so excited to serve the faith communities of Redeemer & R.E.D.S. I believe we have been gifted a unique opportunity to collaborate and spread the faith across all areas at Redeemer.
